Considered one of the world's most prestigious universities, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) boasts more than 7,000 students.

In 2006, EPFL invited Switzerland’s leading publishers to submit proposals for a new science and technology magazine. Competing against the country’s biggest media companies, LargeNetwork won with their original concept and experienced editorial team.

The first issue of Reflex (published in French and English) was produced entirely by LargeNetwork and came out in late 2006. It now appears four times a year.
